Job Description
- Responsible for setting a product vision and strategy
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
- Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
- Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
- Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
- Working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Manages customer queries and other concerns timely and satisfactorily
- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
- Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI, and other assigned tasks from time to time as the need arises
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Design, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager (preferably I.T. related solutions)
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Ability to measure the success of a product
- Ability to explain business and technical requirements to all members of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Knowledgeable in MS Office
- Salary is still negotiable
