Job Description

  1. Responsible for setting a product vision and strategy
  2. Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  3. Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  4. Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  5. Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
  6. Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  7. Working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  8. Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  9. Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  10. Manages customer queries and other concerns timely and satisfactorily
  11. Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  12. Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
  13. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI, and other assigned tasks from time to time as the need arises

Job Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Design, Engineering, or related field
  2. 2+ years proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager (preferably I.T. related solutions)
  3. Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  4. Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  5. Ability to measure the success of a product
  6. Ability to explain business and technical requirements to all members of a team
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Excellent presentation skills
  9. Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  10. Excellent teamwork skills
  11. Knowledgeable in MS Office
